What is an au pair?

An au pair is a young foreign person who lives as part of a host family in exchange for food, board and pocket money.

What is a host family?

A host family is a family who hosts an au pair coming from a foreign country for a limited amount of time. A host family must consist of at least one parent and one child under the age of 18.

Do I need to be a premium member to contact an au pair or a host family?

You don’t need a Premium Membership when you first contact an au pair or a family. If you want to contact them and show your interest, you can do that using our free automatic messages.

How do I know that a profile is genuine?

At Kangaroo Au Pair we make sure all profiles are genuine and we delete all suspicious profiles straightaway. Beware of au pairs or families who ask you for money.
